Disconnect At The Thermal Spas In Archena

We recommend a trip down to the spas at The Balneario de Archena, a huge thermal complex of more than 200,000m². It is less than two hours drive from Valencia, located in the northern part of Murcia.
The thermal waters here emanate from a natural spring of 52.5ºC. The waters are sulphurous with properties that assist naturally with physical conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism. The warm waters are not only beneficial to your joints but the mud found here is great for your skin, helping in the fight against ageing.
The spas promote a feeling of well being and the warm waters eradicate the feelings of stress and anxiety very quickly. We recommend the Archena massage which is an overall body massage conducted under jets of warm water, altogether a very unique experience.
The complex is made up from three hotels: the Hotel Termas, Hotel Levante and the Hotel León. Included in the price of an overnight stay are the spa´s thermal pools. This includes indoor and outdoor pools, (remember that during the winter months the temperature of the water remains warm even in the outdoor pools). Here you will find jacuzzis, lumbar jets, water currents and waterfalls. For the little ones there is even a separate children´s pool.
There is another circuit called the Balnea which costs an additional 20 Euros to the guests of the hotel. Again, this is highly recommended. This is a quieter area where you will find many heated pools and an impressive floatation pool. For those of us who are more adventurous a short time in the igloo is recommended! With a temperature of only 2º C, it really is quite a shock after five minutes in the sauna.
