678 Blue Flags Awarded To Spanish Beaches!
Looking for houses to buy in Spain can be a lot of fun – especially if you don’t currently live anywhere near the beach and are super-keen to make the move to Valencia so you can take advantage of a more outdoorsy lifestyle.
And we’ve just found out that 678 of the beaches in Spain have now been awarded Blue Flags, so you know you’ll be able to enjoy top-quality sun, sea and surf once you’ve found the perfect country villa for sale in Valencia.
The Blue Flag is an eco-label that can be awarded to beaches and marinas in countries across Europe, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, Brazil, the Caribbean, Canada and New Zealand. It is an indication that the area in question has excellent bathing water quality, good sewage treatment practices and top-notch environmental management standards across coastal planning and protection, and waste management.
According to Spanish News Today, a fifth of all beaches in Spain now meet the Blue Flag criteria, which is truly excellent news for anyone either already living in the country or planning to relocate abroad.
But which beaches in Valencia can say they have this Blue Flag accolade? Malvarrosa, Las Arenas and El Cabañal are all perfectly idyllic, so if you can’t decide where to go first once you’ve made your way to Valencia, any of these three would be a brilliant choice for your first beach trip.
